Today was our 20th wedding anniversary. We went to our favorite fishing hole and had a wonderful time. Between the two of us we caught 21 blue gill and 4 turtles! Also we marked off the SWINGO square that is "swing with someone you love". Here's to the next 20 years with the one I love! 🥰

Welp... My pie didn't place but I am not surprised. I had complication after complication. But I had already committed to the entry so I followed through. It's ok. I know it's an amazing pie and will try again next year. Got a picture with my quilt though so that's fun. Thanks to chat gpt I was able to remove the drop cord from the picture.

The State Fair of West Virginia starts tomorrow! On Saturday I drove 6 hours round trip to drop off my quilt entry and today I had to make the trip all over again to drop off my pie entry. They judged the quilts yesterday and have them hanging in the barn where I also had to take my pie. Needless to say I couldn't resist the temptation of sneaking a peak. I am thrilled! I won second place in my division! It's a 110x110 king sized quilt that has hand embroidered horses. I named it All The King's Horses. It's a bummer that the electrical outlet is hanging out in front of it but I am not gonna let it steal my joy of receiving second place! 🤠🐎

Somewhere deep beneath this cozy pile of hay and fluff are Hoppy's beautiful babies. We haven't disturbed them to be sure of the count but at a quick glance we believe there are 7 or 8. They were born this morning, July 22 at approximately 7am. I can't wait to see their coloring.

I was excited when I first saw this mushroom hanging out in the front yard when I left for work yesterday morning. Even more excited when I got home and it was even bigger... Imagine my excitement when I went to see it this morning and it had doubled!!! This thing is incredible! Too bad it's toxic or it would make one heck of a pizza!!!
