🚜 The Green Machine lives!! 🟢
After sitting around waiting on parts like a diva demanding only the finest treatment, the green tractor is finally back in action. Let's all take a moment to appreciate it... because if hay season has taught us anything, it'll probably find another reason to break by Tuesday. 🤣
I'm convinced farming is just an endless game of, "What's broke now?" We fix the tractor... the mower decides it's done with blades, We fix the mower... the tractor throws a fit or a belt, Just when everything is running, something starts making a noise you've never heard before.
Today's highlight? We managed to find a manhole... in the middle of a hay field. 🤦♀️ You know... the same field we were told had no manhole. Apparently "no manholes" means manholes😂
Oh... and we also got to pay a little visit to Brent's skunk today, shes a neighborhood favorite 🦨🤣 Thankfully, we left smelling mostly like diesel fuel, fresh-cut hay, instead of skunk spray.
At this point it feels like we're on our 500th field of the day. I know we're not... but after enough fields they all blend together and you quit counting. You just keep going until it's dark, rains, or something breaks—whichever comes first.
The upside? We're chewing through first cutting hay pretty fast, attempting to get caught up, trying to stay one step ahead of the weather and two steps ahead of the repairs.
🌕 And seriously... if you haven't looked outside tonight, go check out that moon. It's absolutely beautiful. It might be the only thing today that didn't try to hit us, break down, or smell like a skunk. 😂🌾
