FARMSTAND UPDATES (long post, lots of information)
I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close the farmstand for this season. This has been something I have been pondering on for months, and between my work, family's schedules and...well, life, I have been struggling to be able to put the same amount of time and consistency into my farmstand that this wonderful community deserves. That being said, this isn't goodbye! Things will just be a little different for the time being.
WHAT IS HAPPENING: The Wild Rye Farmstand will no longer be open on Saturdays for the remainder of the year and will move to more of a pop-up schedule until further notice. I will post on Facebook and Instagram whenever I am planning a pop-up event.
WHAT ABOUT THE BAKERY?: For the remainder of this year I am going to be switching to a platform called Hotplate and releasing smaller, more curated "drops" with your favorite baked goods. This will also give me a chance to work around my schedule and offer bread on a variety of days other than Saturday! So don't worry, the scones, sourdough and cinnamons aren't going away! Here is the link to my hotplate account: https://www.hotplate.com/farmwildrye?referralMember=e31f191a-ef82-4d33-a6c4-2487e46b5d33&referralType=reminder
I will also do a seperate post for the Hotplate information as well. I hope you follow me on there so you don't miss your Wild Rye favorites when they are available!
WHAT CAN I LOOK FORWARD TO: Lots! I am going to have a fall plant sale, with all the yummy and unique fall veggies. As mentioned, I will be continually offering weekly bread/baked goods for porch pick up via Hotplate on selected weekdays/weekends. You can also reach out to me at any time to place custom orders!
WHAT ABOUT THE GARDEN: I will be doing a deep dive on this on my Instagram! I am having some soil issues and having to spend some time working out some of the kinks in my new space. I'll be sharing more information on how I will be fixing everything in real time.
On a more personal note, I just want to thank each and every one of you that has supported me and my little farmstand. This has been such an amazing experience to share something I am so passionate about with the community. It really breaks my heart to take a small step away, but in this season of life I am trusting that I am doing the right thing by putting my own dreams aside to be more present for my young family when they need me the most.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU again for the best past year! It has been such a pleasure to meet so many of you and chat all things gardening and baking. Please stay in touch! For those of you sticking around, I appreciate your patience and grace as we figure out a new normal around here!
Hi there! Welcome to Wild Rye Farm, a local Gridley farmstand that offers wholesome sourdough flavors and baked goods as well as organically grown plants, produce and flowers. It is very important to me that we know what is in our food, and where it comes from! That is why I use organic, unbleached....
