🎄 Meet Hanover’s 2026 Volunteer of the Year: Christopher Bunty, along with his wife Amy who volunteers for Andrea's Kids

Main Street Hanover and the Christmas in Hanover Committee are proud to announce Chris Bunty as the recipient of the Andrea Niehoff Goodson Volunteer of the Year Award!

For 16 years, Chris has dedicated his time to Toys for Tots-Adams-Hanover, including the past six years as a coordinator. From organizing toy collections to spearheading fundraisers throughout the year, Chris works tirelessly to help make the holidays brighter for local families.

He also carries on Andrea Niehoff Goodson’s spirit of giving through Andrea’s Kids, collecting backpacks and school supplies for local children.

When asked what motivates him to volunteer, Chris shared:

“When I was a child, I was in their shoes, so it’s nice to be able to brighten their holiday.”

And despite all he does, Chris is quick to remind us that volunteering is a team effort: “It takes a village to accomplish what we accomplish.”

As this year’s honoree, Chris will also serve as the Grand Marshal of the 2026 Christmas in Hanover Parade on Saturday, November 28! 🎅

Our Marketing & Administrative Coordinator Alex Brown recently sat down with Chris to learn more about his journey, what inspires him to give back, and what he’s looking forward to most as Grand Marshal.
