Weaning time! ⏰

Our heifer calves are fence-weaned to help reduce stress and avoid the added hassle of hauling them home. With mom on the other side of the fence, the calves can gradually adjust to life on their own while everyone settles into the next chapter.

Happy calves, happy mamas, and another generation of future progeny in the making!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming visitors from Elanco in Brazil and STgenetics to the ranch!

It’s always a great opportunity to share our cattle, our genetics, and the day-to-day operation with others in the industry. We enjoyed showing them around, visiting about our program, and sharing what makes the ranch special.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with people from across the industry and around the world. Thanks for stopping by! 🤠

Weaning marks the beginning of an important stage in developing our next set of Sitz Angus herd sires. As these calves are weaned and introduced to the feed bunk, we focus on developing them into functional, sound, high-performing bulls. From the genetics behind each mating to the way each bull is developed, every step matters.

Swing by the ranch and come take a look at these bulls. We would love to show you around and talk about our genetics and program! 🛻
