Calling all aspiring flower growers… Flower School is back for 2027! 🌸📚

Ready to take your skills to the next level? Front Porch Farm Flower School is an in-depth, hands-on course in sustainable cut-flower production, designed to deepen your knowledge from seed to harvest.

Topics include:

🌼 Crop planning & propagation
🌼 Bed preparation & fertility
🌼 Pest & disease management
🌼 Harvest & post-harvest handling
🌼 Cut-flower styling & marketing

Learn from Zoe Hitchner, who has spent over 12 years managing Front Porch Farm’s flower program, alongside Clare Riesman, an experienced farm and garden educator.

The course meets in person one Sunday a month, January–May 2027, at Front Porch Farm.

Want to explore a specific topic before committing to Flower School? Join us for our Fall Flower Production Workshop on 11/15, a great way to get a feel for the program. We’ll also offer a Spring Drip Irrigation Workshop on 5/2 to learn the fundamentals of irrigation. Both workshops are open to everyone, with no commitment to Flower School required!

⏰ 9 AM - 1 PM
📍Where: Front Porch Farm, 2550 Rio Lindo Ave Healdsburg CA

🌼 What: U-Pick Winter Squash, dahlias, peppers, eggplant, and other fall flowers! Flowers are $25 for a quart jar or $40 for a gallon bucket. Produce is priced per pound.

🌼 Shop our farm stand and enjoy delicious seasonal pastries from Zweibel’s , pizza from Geoffrey Power, and coffee + matcha from sweet.dream.coffee

🌼 Bring: water bottle, hat, sunscreen, a picnic, and your friends and family!
*No dogs allowed*

⭐️ Quick reminder we require parking passes at our U-Pick events. Purchase a parking pass before your U-Pick visit online or in-person when you arrive⭐️ Parking passes are $10/vehicle.

We won’t be at the Saturday Healdsburg Farmers Market or Sunday AIM Farmers Markets 🌱 market this weekend, and our scheduled U-Pick has been cancelled.

We’ll be back at both markets next weekend, and our final U-Pick of the season is October 10th! 🌼
