We don’t usually posts about the slow soul-crushing weeks. We post the pretty drinks and the busy Saturdays and secretly sweat the rest behind the counter or at 2am in bed.

So here’s me not doing that. This week was rough. And I’d bet I’m not the only owner in Licking County who’s been staring at the numbers lately.

Here’s the deal. Pick one local business you actually love and go spend some money there this weekend. Grab the coffee, buy the candle, book the haircut you keep putting off. If that’s us, your mushroom coffee is ready and the juice fridge is full.

This creamy little fall situation is made with real butternut squash, banana, oat milk, maple, dates, and plenty of warm chai spice, cozy, naturally sweet, and just unusual enough to be very Roots.

But this is officially its final week on the menu.
