HELP WANTED
Part-time Baker/Tea Service Server
Auntie Rae’s Sweets and Tea Parties is searching for qualified part-time Baker that enjoys baking/creating yummy desserts, in coordination with the Lead Baker to create our outstanding desserts. Our staff has fun while working hard to maintain our 4 ½ star rating on Yelp and 4.8 on Google! (on a 5 point scale) Please send resume/work history to [email protected]. The Baker will be responsible for the food quality, preparation and presentation along with food inventory controls at the facility. The Baker adheres to all state, county and city food ordinances, and instills these regulations into all kitchen personnel. Additionally, the baker may be asked to serve/prep for tea parties and lunch service. Hours may consist of 30 per week Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reports directly to the Lead Baker and coordinates new ideas with Owner.
• Bake daily items and any special orders that may arrive.
• Stock display cases and insure cleanliness and presentation of food areas.
• Clean and organize the kitchen on a daily basis. The food areas must adhere to all food safety regulations.
• Cold storage: Organize and clean the refrigerator on a daily basis.
• Create and prepare specialty/custom orders for parties or events.
• Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Culinary School degree/certificate and two years’ experience in the food industry is preferred. More than 4 years of home baking may be substituted for degree. Food Handlers permit is required. ServSafe Certification is preferred. Experience with cake/cookies decorating is preferred.
• Good physical and mental health.
• Able to work under pressure and communicate effectively.
• Must be fluent in reading writing and speaking in English.
• Valid state driver’s license in good standing.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• This position may require the person to work irregular hours including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the metropolitan area.
• Communicates orally with management, co-workers and the public in face-to face, one-to-one, and group settings.
• Regularly uses a telephone for communication.
• Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
• Occasionally required to stand and walk.
Salary
Position will pay $10-$12 per hour depending on experience.
