While we are still closed, I wanted to share a quick update with you all! We’ve been busy leaning into our new roles as parents, but we are slowly finding our rhythm again.
Lately, our main focus has been making the property as safe as possible for the kiddos. We recently had a fantastic work weekend with friends and family and got so much done! We cleared away a ton of storm (and dog 😂) debris, took down a falling structure, and moved the chicken coop to an extension of the tractor shed. We’re actually turning the old coop spot into a shaded garden with seating—hopefully a swing and a mud kitchen for the little ones, too. Plus, the lower deck is finally finished and safe with a sturdy new railing!
On the farm side, we’re still enjoying our chickens, guineas, and a couple turkeys. We’re actually hoping to expand the turkey flock soon—they really are our favorites. The fruit trees are looking great, too; we’re expecting peaches and mulberries, and we're crossing our fingers that the plums and loquats survived the recent winds. As for the garden, we have several varieties of strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, and peppers in the ground. I’m hoping to expand my canning knowledge this year. Brian has also been hard at work on the front porch garden—the walkway is going to be gorgeous once everything fills out in a few years.
We aren’t focusing much on farm sales right now, but please reach out if you’re looking for something specific (we do occasionally have roosters available). Also, be sure to check out our High Family Garage Sale page! We keep it very up-to-date, and if it’s posted, it’s available and negotiable.
We hope your 2026 is off to a great start. God bless!
