Furs Class Rabbitry

10/11/2026

Short post for a long day making our way back from Georgetown, IL. We left Friday and made it back around 8pm tonight; wrapping up the busy show season for us. The rabbits got some great recognition; especially a broken junior buck who pulled his first BOB.

Well folks, this guy needs an official name! Stonebelt RBA held a triple today in Spencer, IN and this boy pulled his second BIS!! 🎉 He’s constantly a trouble maker hopping out of judging coops, but after a short trip home I finally got a picture of him!

Thank you to all the judges and everyone else on their wins today! It was special to also see my Boone Co 4-H leader Beth Hale receive RIS with a beautiful Harlequin!!!

First show of the fall season that actually felt like fall in Frankfort, KY. The rabbits showed four times today and by the fourth show we were not up for pictures, but grabbed a few as we went. Congratulations to Wendy, Ike, Shawn, Andrew, and Kelsey on their wins today as well. It never fails, I always thoroughly enjoy showing with the Kentucky crew.

Today in Danville was hands down absolutely fantastic. We were BOB Show A & C and BIS Show C!! 🌟🎉 As I did my last judge assist, Tommy showed my polish for the first time on adjacent tables and needless to say he’s now been told he needs to come to all the shows!! I couldn’t be more thankful he loves the rabbits and made sure they made it up for breed shows and BIS table!

Congratulations to everyone on their wins today and huge congratulations to Sami Fackleman on her youth RIS today with another fabulous black buck!

Just a quick picture after getting home from TN, but honestly a huge thank you to Tommy who didn’t bat an eye at me planning a show in TN on our anniversary and Brenda Brown Kneir and Kortney Holley for helping get my team of 4 to the tables this weekend while I was doing another assist on another table. This was the first trip to Murfreesboro, TN for me and it was fantastic. I didn’t get a chance to talk to the other Polish breeders, but congratulations on your wins and to the host club for a great venue and show.

More pictures maybe tomorrow, but for now some sleep..😴

Late night, but a great night at Cayuga, IN. I didn’t manage to get a single picture during the show, but grabbed a few this morning after some much-needed sleep. Took the small group of 4 young seniors who had the best coats. Huge thank you to Keith and Michaella for getting them on the table for Show A while I did my assist; speaks volumes of our Polish family 🩷.

Both had honorable mentions on BIS table next to some beautiful New Zealands, Californians, and Mini Cals that I had the privilege of handling and were outstanding

Another KY state convention in Somerset, KY in the books and way more time spent with friends we don’t get to see often and less time picturing rabbits, but some were managed to be taken (Thank you Chyann). I adore this show, and everyone we get to catch up with until the early morning hours.

Very appreciative of all the wonderful comments and recognition given to this show team this weekend. Breed wins are below, but also won BOV chocolate all shows this weekend and BOSV 4x’s with either Furs Class JH54 or Fuzzy Butts “Red”. Also extremely excited to say that Double C’s TopNotch received two senior legs this weekend, making him GC eligible at 6mo old. Such a sharp guy with a sweetheart/funny personality to match.

(Now to relax and register some rabbits in the hotel with Robin K Williams Olson since we have gotten 9+” of rain back home and all the roads to the house are flooded over…so the trip home will begin tomorrow)

My small show team had a nice weekend in Frankfort, KY and pulled a few wins. Most of mine are young juniors and a couple seniors, but it was great to see Double C’s TopNotch get his first BOSB win. Love that little buck and excited to see how he continues to grow. Now to await litters from every doe in the barn the next few weeks 🤞
