✨ 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗟𝗢𝗪... ✨

If you peeked behind the scenes at Root2Rise Creations this weekend, this is pretty much what you'd find. 😂

Measuring cups everywhere. Soap molds stacked and ready. Ingredients covering the counter. The studio slowly getting dressed for fall. And probably more than one experiment happening at the same time.

Because this weekend is a 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 around here. 💗

🌈 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗖𝗼. 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵!

After months of creating, testing, tweaking — and receiving some very important grandbaby approval — our first small batch is almost ready.

And yes...there is a CEO involved.

Her name is 𝗠𝘀. 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗵. 💕

A select few of our closest R2R peeps have heard the story behind Little Glow Co., but most of you haven't.

𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝘁.

And I cannot wait to introduce you to the little girl — and the very big heart — behind this collection.

For our first Little Glow Co. release, a small batch of:

🐷 𝗠𝘂𝗱𝗱𝘆 𝗣𝗶𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘁
🐸 𝗥𝗶𝗯𝗯𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗱
🌈 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘄 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺

will soon be available for 𝗽𝗿𝗲-𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿.

But apparently launching an entire little company wasn't quite enough for one weekend... 😂

🌿 The garden is also winding down, which means our 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗳𝗮𝗵 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 is almost ready!

We grow the loofah used in our handcrafted bath + body creations right here ourselves. Before I begin prepping this year's beautiful harvest for future small-batch production, I'm using the last few loofahs from our 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻 to work on something I've had tucked away in my notebook for a while...

𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗹𝘂𝘅𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗳𝗮𝗵 𝘀𝗼𝗮𝗽 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲. 🧼🌿

So this weekend?
We're making.
We're testing.
We're decorating.
We're closing down one growing season...
𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

A few things are hitting the shelves now.
A few more surprises are coming later this month.
And one very special little company is finally ready to glow. ✨

🌈💗 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲. 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗖𝗼. 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴. 💗🌈

🍂🌿 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫…

Apparently, the garden did not get the memo. 😂

For the past few weeks, my mind—and my hands—have already been making the seasonal shift.

I’ve been putting together gift bags for The Huntington Mile and an another upcoming event, pouring the 𝐑𝐨𝐨𝐭𝟐𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥 + 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞, preparing for soapmaking this week, and canning and preserving what I keep telling myself is surely one of the last harvests.

So I really wasn’t in any hurry to get back out to the garden.

In my head, we were basically finished.

A few things remained on the fall checklist—plant the garlic, let the sweet potatoes stay tucked into the earth until closer to frost, and keep watching this year’s loofah crop until it’s time to harvest them just before that first frost.

And then I walked outside. 🌿

𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭-𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫… 😂

The garden is still producing.

And apparently I am 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 because I am officially out of freezer space. 🤣

Yes…even after all the canning I’ve already been doing.

Both dehydrators are full, and there are still more herbs and peppers lined up waiting their turn.

So much for winding down. 😂

And the loofah?

Oh. My. Goodness.

They are traveling everywhere—climbing, winding, stretching across the garden and weaving themselves through the green bean tunnel until the whole thing feels a little like a secret garden wonderland.

Natural loofah has been part of my soapmaking journey for about four years now, and three years ago I decided, Why not grow my own?

What started as a little experiment has become one of my favorite parts of the Root2Rise garden—and one of those beautiful reminders that so much of what we create here begins long before something ever reaches a jar, candle tin, soap dish, or gift bag.

Sometimes it begins with a seed. 🌱

This time of year always feels like standing with one foot in two seasons.

🌿 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠.
🥫 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠.
🌶️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.
🎃 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥.
🕯️ 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝.
🧼 𝐒𝐨𝐚𝐩𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠.
🍂 And slowly, the homestead begins preparing to rest.

But apparently…𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐭.

There is still a little more growing, gathering, creating, canning, dehydrating, and preserving to do.

And maybe that is one of my favorite lessons from the garden:

𝐖𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Sometimes we simply keep showing up—and remain grateful enough to notice the abundance still growing right in front of us. 💜🌿🍂

Grown. Gathered. Created with intention.

🌿 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝟮𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹

This week’s journal entry is live:

🌱 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝟮𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲

The past few weeks have been full of garden starts, hardening off seedlings, opening the farm stand, harvesting rhubarb, restocking Lavender Magnesium Cream, researching bug repellent candles and sprays, planting summer crops, thinning volunteer sunflowers, checking on berries, and enjoying the first sweet strawberries of the season.

This entry is a little glimpse into the garden, the making table, the research process, and the seasonal rhythms that shape Root2Rise Creations.

Root2Rise has always been about more than finished products. It is about the process, the learning, the tending, and the beauty of watching things root, grow, and become.

The journal is free to read with no paywall — just a welcoming place to follow along with the story behind the products, the garden, and the handmade creations.

🌿 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝟮𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴!

Over the past four Fridays, I have released the first four entries of the Root2Rise Creations Journal — and together, they really do feel like the beginning of our 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.

These first entries share more of the heart behind Root2Rise: where it began, what continues to inspire it, how the garden and handmade products are connected, and why this little business is rooted in care, creativity, natural living, and seasonal rhythms.

This Friday, a new journal entry will be released at 7 AM:

🌱 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝟮𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲

This one is full of current garden notes and behind-the-scenes updates — hardening off seedlings, opening the farm stand, rhubarb pie filling and jam, restocking Lavender Magnesium Cream, researching bug repellent candles and sprays, planting summer crops, thinning volunteer sunflowers, checking on raspberries, and harvesting the first sweet strawberries of the season.

The Root2Rise Journal will remain 𝗻𝗼-𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿 and free to read. It is a place to share the story behind the products, the garden, the making, the learning, and the little seasonal moments that shape Root2Rise Creations.

If you haven’t had a chance to read the first four entries yet, I’d love to invite you to start there and explore the roots of Root2Rise.
