A WINERY BORN IN THE PINES
When winemaker Chris & Melody Johnston envisioned starting a boutique winery, they were away from the hassles of everyday city life amid the tall pines and sweet smelling cedars of the popular artist community of Idyllwild, California. The friendliness of the small town inspired them to bring people together through the enjoyment of handcrafted, artisan Idyllwild wine. They traveled to vineyards all over California in search of the perfect grapes for Middle Ridge Winery. Today, the wine is made in a shared facility in Temecula, yet the original Innovation Lab in Idyllwild continues to be the source of new ideas. A down-to-earth approach to wine and the people who enjoy it makes Middle Ridge wine the perfect match for every conversation. COME TASTE
You can taste Middle Ridge wines at our 4,000 square foot winery tasting room in the heart of Idyllwild, CA. Live music every weekend and special at special events that we host. You can also buy Middle Ridge wine on our website (middleridge.com) as well as sign up for our wine club. LET’S TALK

Yep, this is the home of Middle Ridge W**ery. Come on up and see us sometime! We're located in the mountains between Temecula w**e country (where we make our w**e) and Palm Springs. The tasting room is also an art gallery (on both floors), and home to some of the most talented - and fun - musicians around! Stop by sometime. We'd love to see you!

Our co-owner, w**e-loving, jewelry-loving, all-around fabulous Melody is celebrating another trip around the sun—so naturally we’re going to celebrate the only way we know how—with w**e, music, friends and cupcakes.

Join us Saturday for live music from 3–6 PM, and somewhere around 5-ish, we’ll be bringing out the birthday cupcakes to celebrate Melody. 🥂 Because really…birthday cake and w**e should always be part of the plan. 😉

Okay… we’re going to brag just a little. 😉🍷

Our w**es brought home some pretty lovely hardware from the 2026 New York International W**e Competition—including TWO Gold medals at 95 points and a Silver at 93 points.

And then there was this little bit of icing on the cake:
🏆 Temecula Valley Zinfandel W**ery of the Year

Not too shabby for a boutique w**ery tucked away in the mountains of Idyllwild. ❤️

We work hard, we make w**e we’re proud of, and we’re always pretty thrilled when the w**e gets noticed beyond our little corner of the world.

So yes… tonight’s toast is well deserved. 🥂
