We’ve picked up some tips and tricks along the way for crossing the county road. People fly down this road and we’ve got it down to a casual 53 seconds to get the herd across (if they put a little pep in their step we could get that time down 😉).

Trav has been working on two-day moves with them across both pastures this summer. We’re kicking them back to the regrowth for a bit for better palatability and utilization as we get closer to weaning.

Just keeping them quiet and honest. As you can see at the end, also acclimated to little people! 💛

RREDS Unlimited N520

If you follow the Rhodes program, you know his dam, MLK CRK Lakota 095 is a cornerstone. With 70 calves registered to her at 15 years old, we knew that we wanted to add a little bit of her legacy to our herd. Since 095’s passing, you could say Unlimited is more of a limited edition.

Backed by his black angus sire, Bullerman Unlimited, we’re excited to see his calves in the years to come!

Here's a quick video of the boys after the fresh blanket of snow yesterday. 2.5 weeks til their breeding soundness exams! We're pretty excited for how this group has developed and can't wait to see them really take off at their new farms out on grass in the coming months.

We have a heavy crop of heifers coming up this year that we're excited about. Here’s a quick video from last night of L321 with her RREDS Reliable calf and 2057 with her RREDS Blueprint calf.

***SOLD*** 2507 is another calf out of the Flying K Max bull we used AI. Despite his slightly lower weaning weight than his paternal brother in the pen, he has a slightly larger skeleton and plenty of length of spine but lacks a little refinement compared to 2505. Expect him to produce excellent udder quality from his dam Ginger 2057 who continues to be right at the top of the herd with another AI sired calf on the ground this year. 2507 would also be suitable for heifers or cows with a 79 lb birthweight.
