Here’s some of the treasures we found from our road clean up this spring. We also found over 6 times more ticks than bags of trash.

Total tick count:
Trav 10
Steph 41!!

I guess we know who will be doused in bug spray for future cleanings…

RREDS Unlimited N520

If you follow the Rhodes program, you know his dam, MLK CRK Lakota 095 is a cornerstone. With 70 calves registered to her at 15 years old, we knew that we wanted to add a little bit of her legacy to our herd. Since 095’s passing, you could say Unlimited is more of a limited edition.

Backed by his black angus sire, Bullerman Unlimited, we’re excited to see his calves in the years to come!

It’s been a busy day with a lot of help from good friends!

✅ AI bred all the cows and heifers

✅ breeding soundness exams for the yearling bulls so they can head to their new homes

✅ currently on the way to pick up our new Dorper ram

🟩 still need to pull sheep CIDRs and split the breeding groups this evening/tomorrow morning for Labor Day weekend babies 😅

Here's a quick video of the boys after the fresh blanket of snow yesterday. 2.5 weeks til their breeding soundness exams! We're pretty excited for how this group has developed and can't wait to see them really take off at their new farms out on grass in the coming months.

If you're just finding our page, its not too late- we still have one bull left!

We have a heavy crop of heifers coming up this year that we're excited about. Here’s a quick video from last night of L321 with her RREDS Reliable calf and 2057 with her RREDS Blueprint calf.

***SOLD*** 2507 is another calf out of the Flying K Max bull we used AI. Despite his slightly lower weaning weight than his paternal brother in the pen, he has a slightly larger skeleton and plenty of length of spine but lacks a little refinement compared to 2505. Expect him to produce excellent udder quality from his dam Ginger 2057 who continues to be right at the top of the herd with another AI sired calf on the ground this year. 2507 would also be suitable for heifers or cows with a 79 lb birthweight.

***SOLD*** 2510 "Garrison" is the first black-red carrier bull we're putting on offer. The red angus association allows us to bring in angus genetics and we feel it's a great way to broaden the gene pool. 2510 is out of our RREDS Pathfinder walking sire. Starting at 87 lbs he's the most powerful bull in the offering with a 106 weaning ratio. 2510's dam, Susie 2230, is a black-red carrier cow we purchased as a heifer from Ulrich Red Angus. She is slowly rising to the top in our cow herd the older she gets. She has a 107 weaning ratio on her first two calves and has an AI sired calf on the ground now. She also has one of the best udders in the herd to boot! Expect 2510 to add some pounds at weaning but also make high quality replacement heifers.

***SOLD***

2505 "Malone" is a super dark cherry red Flying K Max son with a nice shot of angus character. 2505 started out at 81 pounds and weaned off at 606 lbs actual weaning weight. If retaining heifers is a priority, 2505 would be a great option. His dam is an extremely feminine daughter of SSS Tycoon that has her 3rd calf on the ground. She’s 3/3 on AI breeding with a calving interval under 365 days. Fertility runs deep in this cow line! 2505 could be used on heifers or cows.

***SOLD*** 2502 "Swagger" truly represents the type and kind of bull we are trying to produce. Moderate in frame but wide topped and packed with muscle. His dam, 2302, is a larger outlined first calf heifer sired by RREDS Seneca. She weaned 2502 at an actual weaning weight of 700 lbs while also breeding back AI first cycle. Expect excellent calf vigor and a 5 star disposition out of 2502 Swagger. 76 lb birthweight for use on cows or heifers.
