Good morning, Reis Meat Processing friends and family!

Today’s post isn’t about meat processing—rather it’s an opportunity to recognize one of the many ways our team members make a difference beyond the workplace and within our communities.

Recently, one of our owners, Erich Klotz, completed CPR training. Just a few weeks later, he was called upon to put that training into action during a medical emergency, helping save a person's life.

His quick response and willingness to step in caught the attention of the American Heart Association and local media, who featured his story in a recent evening news segment.

We’re proud of Erich and grateful for the example he sets through his commitment to helping others.

Weeks after completing CPR training, a youth basketball coach used those skills to help save another coach who collapsed during a tournament game.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a beloved member of the Reis Meat Processing family, John Ryan. We are deeply saddened by the loss.

John brought warmth, hard work, and a wonderful sense of humor to our business every day. We are incredibly grateful for the time we shared with him.

Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to Carolyn, his children, his grandchildren, and the entire Ryan family during this incredibly difficult time.

What happens when the crew from Reis Meat Processing and Homestead Meat Company team up with our friends at City Seafood in Fenton, MO?

Answer: One of the best backyard seafood boils and BBQ parties around!

The seafood boil was surprisingly easy, and when it comes to grilling, these guys know what they're doing. The only problem? The food was so good that anyone planning to enjoy a few drinks barely had room left!

If you'd like to learn more about how we put it all together, let us know. And speaking of highlights... there's a video of the crew dumping the entire seafood boil onto the table. The coordination, timing, and communication were absolutely epic.

Another great meal made with quality cuts from Reis Meat Processing! Thin-sliced rib steak, peppers, mushrooms, onions, melted cheese, and fresh bread from a local bakery. The pretzel roll was a special request from the kids — and definitely a hit!

Three cheers to a great way to wrap up the kids’ first day of summer break...with full stomachs of course.
