Welcome to Genesis Farms where excellence in performance donkeys is born on a regular basis. By blending the genetics of T.J.C.

My daughter Kat and I have everything we need to develop and shape the performance donkey of the future. Clyde, Jarratt's Desert Prince and A-Jacks El-Gato with our diverse band of jennets we are sure to strike that just right chord of size, agility and mind that will provide donkey enthusiasts with an animal that is built to satisfy. Since 1999 Genesis Farms has grown into one of today's top producers of show mules and performance donkeys. Kat has grown and developed right along with the program. In the past the farm has focused on mule and donkey production, recently we have cut back on our mare herd and increased our jennet pool by number and quality. Showing and breaking donkeys to ride and drive, selling quality show donkeys and promoting them on the trail and across the country is what Kat and I do. We invite you to look around our website and contact us with any questions you may have. We have met some of our closest and dearest friends through our work with these animals. We always have the time to talk with new converts, folks who are looking for help, folks
wishing to make connections or those who just want to dish about these fabulous longears.

To be able to provide someone one of the building blocks to the foundation of their future gives me such a deep sense of pride and satisfaction. For that person to be someone who I care about so dearly makes this announcement that much sweeter. Sarah Mills has worked hard to bring her equine program into focus.

She knows what she wants and she’s choosing quality and talent to reach her goals.

Sarah has chosen this very special young jack to kick off her own breeding program.

I get to sit back and watch these two begin a career that I just know is going to be filled to the brim with success and industry leading outcomes.

I’m so full of love for Sarah and Spark, what a team they will be. 🥰🫏🥂🍀

And just like that, he’s sold. Congratulations to Amy Stover who has waited patiently for YEARS to get just the right one. I’m thrilled to pieces that she’s going to have this very special boy!😻🤩

Jagalope.

This handsome boy came into the world on 9/12/26. He is by Clyde’s El Jaguar and out of the jennet Windy Ridge Shadow.

He is short coupled through the back and leggy. Lovely long neck and handsome head. He’s disposition is super sweet and just happy with life, his tail never stops wiggling.

He’s going to be tall, elegant and super forward.

He is half brother to I am Metal, Genesis Sateen, and he is a full brother to Jagged Lark.

Did some beauty shots today of my spring babies. Mr. Cowtown kitty was busy helping me by keeping their ears up.

It used to be that getting a good loping donkey was mostly a happy accident. I like to think at Genesis Farms we are improving the odds of having all the gears one generation at a time.

I get such satisfaction of working with donkeys that I’ve bred. The ease with which they work, the way they lean into effort. Heaven.

I had so much fun on Sateen today. Her 4th ride, and man she just has unlimited talent. Just getting to flip through all the natural skills this girl has is an absolute thrill. 🤩🥰🫏

This is why people come to Genesis Farms for competitive saddle donkeys.

This was Genesis Sateen’s first ever ride today, and yes she is a loper just like her daddy Genesis 1.0.

They are predicting some very unpleasant weather by July 4th weekend. High 90’s and 100% humidity. So today I gave my two babies the silly haircut. I can’t take it all off because then their Mommies won’t recognize them and they’ll reject them. So I leave on the top hair and take the belly hair, the chest, lower neck and between the thighs. It makes such a huge difference for them. Both these youngsters stood so well for their first time being clipped. Hot, humid babies won’t eat well and they can stall their growth.

Nothing cooler than getting post cards from the children.
New saddle donkey owner Tamara King has been putting the work in with her yearling Lil Stevie Rey Von. Stevie has done miles on the trails, attended clinics of every description and has firmly brought Tamara into the fold of donkey superiority. Tamara keeps me up to speed on all their doings which I’m always so grateful for. Here are some pictures of their recent outing in their home state of Washington. Rock on Stevie!!!🥰🫏🤩

Genesis Sateen had a great first drive off of the farm this weekend at the Morris Farm in Liberty Kentucky.
We had just gotten some rain in the morning so it made the going a little deep, man she is so powerful and worked so well in spite of it.

Here is our session in its entirety, super proud of her good mind and rhythmic way of going. 🫏🤩🥰
