Happy Autumn Equinox! 🍂
It’s shaping up to be a beautiful fall day tomorrow at the Downtown LS Farmers Market! I’ll have lots of beautiful greens, including baby bok choy, along with radishes and salad turnips.

The cherry tomatoes, peppers, basil, and okra are hanging in there, but they won’t be around much longer—so grab some while you can!

I’m excited to bring some of my first fall crops to the Downtown LS Farmers Market tomorrow from 8–12!
I’ll have the first of the season’s beets and baby kale mix, along with late-summer tomatoes, peppers, okra, and lots of beautiful herbs and flowers.

The basil is still going strong, but it won’t be here for long! Stock up on those gorgeous basil bunches and make some pesto to freeze now—you’ll thank yourself this winter when you’re dreaming of warmer days!

Pea shoots are also back this week, along with sunflower shoots! I was craving something that wasn’t a tomato for a change. 😂🌱

I’ll have beautiful melons again this week at Downtown LS Farmers Market tomorrow from 8–12, along with gorgeous burgundy okra and the first small harvest of Dragon’s Tongue beans!
It’s also the first day of school tomorrow for LS! I have one heading off to high school, which is crazy because I’m still only 20…right?! 😂

So get those kids off to school and then come enjoy a beautiful morning at the market! I’ll see you there!

Join me and a wonderful group of women business owners this Sunday, August 30, from 2–5 PM in Downtown Lee’s Summit for a fun afternoon of shopping, tea, and community!
I’ll be sharing about my farm and the joy of seasonal, local eating alongside other local farmers, fitness and health professionals, and talented makers who will be highlighting their businesses.

Best of all, this event benefits Foster Kids KC! ❤️ It’s a great opportunity to have some fun, support local businesses, and connect with women doing amazing things in our community.

I’m busy getting ready for Downtown LS Farmers Market tomorrow! Come see me from 8–12.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the first ripe melons yesterday! I grow a muskmelon variety called “Hannah’s Choice,” and it is absolutely delicious. The sweet orange flesh has the most beautiful floral notes—it’s such a special treat!

I’ll also have everything you need to make ratatouille: zucchini, peppers, onions, eggplant, garlic, and tomatoes. I made a batch this week and now it’s all I want to eat.
