Special Tasting of Conde Valdemar!

Join us October 21st, 5-7pm, for a tasting with Jesús Bujanda-Mora of Conde Valdemar! We will taste lovely w**es from their estate in Rioja and Walla Walla!

Jesús Martínez Bujanda Mora combines fresh insights with the fifth-generation w**emaking heritage as CEO of Valdemar Family. Throughout his academic and professional life, Jesús has been driven by a passion for international experiences. During his studies at the University of Navarra, where he pursued an International Degree in Management, he had the opportunity to complete two international exchanges, one at the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy, and another at the University of Washington in Seattle. It was during his time in Seattle that Jesús fell in love with Washington state and knew he would eventually make it his home. After graduating from college in 2010, he began his career as
a Financial Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers, gaining valuable experience across various industries. However, his deep-rooted connection to the family w**ery in Oyón eventually led him back. In 2014, Jesús assumed the role of
CEO at Valdemar Family, working alongside his father, Jesús Martínez Bujanda Irribarría (President), and his sister, Ana Martínez-Bujanda (COO).
In 2018, Jesús, along with his father and sister, established Valdemar Estates in Walla Walla, Washington. This marked the first internationally owned w**ery in Washington State. Since then, Jesús, his wife Conchita, and their two children,
Teresa and Jesús (representing the sixth generation), have made Walla Walla their home.

The extra age of Meadow Creek Dairy's Appalachian turns it into a lush, fruity cheese with overtones of toasted butter, with a mushroom earthiness that recalls the intensity of the cellars and a tangy, smooth finish. The texture is firm but velvety, melting on the tongue. It will be paired with Pacheca 2020 LBV, delicious!
