🧟‍♂️ JAVA JOE IS… ALIVE?! ☕️💀

For 6 years, Java Joe has represented L-City Coffee + in the annual Visit Fairfield County Ohio Fairfield County Trail of Scarecrows-Autumn Experience
And honestly… this poor guy has been through A LOT.

2020: Someone stole his handlebars… and his shoes.
2021: His hat mysteriously disappeared. 🎩
2022–2023: Somehow, he survived. Though he did go through a breakup from Macchiato Mike
2024: Things took a turn. Java Joe was completely vandalized. His body and head were severed. So naturally, we gave him a proper funeral and placed him in an urn for the rest of the year. ⚰️
2025: We decided to honor his memory with a gravesite… although apparently Java Joe wasn't quite ready to stay dead. A hand was already reaching out of the grave. 🪦☠️
2026: Well… you can probably see where this is going.

His head, both hands AND a foot have now emerged from the grave.

And he's GREEN. 🧟‍♂️

Java Joe is officially coming back to life.

We're expecting this resurrection to take a few years, so don't expect him to be completely out of the ground anytime soon. 😂

Makes us think of the "Death Before Decaf" sign we have. WAIT. Does that mean he will only like.. DECAF?? A Zombie indeed.

But there's something else that has been happening around L-City during scarecrow season for quite a while now…

Every year, we hide a few little surprises around Java Joe or the shop. 👀

Sometimes they're worth a free drink.
Sometimes free merchandise.
Sometimes a gift card.
Sometimes… something else.

Think of it as trick-or-treating… except you have to find the trick before you get the treat. 🎃

And here's the funny part:

Not. A. Single. Person. Has. Found. One. Yet.

Six years.

Zero winners.

Maybe nobody is looking closely enough. 👀
