Scipio Smith Day (May 29th) will look a little different this year! ❤️

The Fairfield County Heritage Association is asking everyone to be involved in a DAY OF ACTION. Please join them in simple acts of kindness: adding to a Blessing Box or a Little Library near you. Come together in Scipio's honor and help the community.

Scipio's mission was to help the less fortunate, educate the uneducated, and work to make the community a better place for everyone. Please consider taking just a few minutes on Friday, May 29th, to celebrate Scipio's legacy and support those less fortunate in our area. View the included images for a list of Blessing Boxes and Little Libraries in the county.

*If you would prefer, you can bring canned goods to the FCHA Office on Friday, May 29th, from 10:00 am–4:00 pm. They are located at the back of the Georgian Museum.

The Placemaking Committee invites you to join them for Flower Planting Day on Saturday, May 30th, at 8:00 am 🌸

Join us for a hands-on morning of community and color! Over 30 planters will be filled with vibrant annuals, bringing life and beauty to our streets. Volunteers should come to the Zane Square Gazebo prepared with:

-Gloves
-Milk jugs filled with water
-A digger or trowel
-A broom
-Extra bucket(s) for old soil
-Trash bags for debris

If you don't have any of these, we will have extra for you! A short orientation session will be held before planting begins. Melody from the Placemaking Committee will follow up with more details as the day approaches. Sign up below!

Bottoms Up: A Midcentury Barware Show by Gay Fad Studios is returning to Lancaster from Thursday, June 18th, through Sunday, June 21st.🍸

Bottoms Up is the nation’s first event dedicated to the vibrant world of midcentury barware, and it all happens right here in the heart of Ohio, once a major center for midcentury glassware production. Set in Lancaster’s charming, walkable downtown, this celebration brings midcentury magic to the Midwest in unforgettable style.

Far from a typical convention, Bottoms Up spreads throughout the entire downtown with immersive experiences including expert presentations, mixology classes, a curated vendor show, vintage cocktail parties, a tiki bar, an antique car show, and more. Keller Market House is celebrating 10 YEARS in business! 🎉They are inviting you to join them in celebration on Tuesday, May 26th, from 11:00 am–1:00 pm. Stop by for an open house to explore the market, try free samples, and meet some of their vendors. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon with the Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce and some special VIPs.
