Meet April
Health and wellness have been a lifelong passion of mine—not just something I studied, but a way of life that I truly enjoy living every day. I’m a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, having completed my education through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in New York, one of the world’s leading schools for integrative health.
I believe that true wellness goes far beyond counting calories or following the latest diet trend. My approach focuses on nourishing the whole person through balanced nutrition, healthy lifestyle habits, stress management, movement, and sustainable changes that fit your unique life.
One of my greatest passions is helping people understand the powerful connection between the brain and the gut. As research continues to reveal how closely our digestive health influences mood, energy, focus, and overall well-being, I love helping clients make practical changes that support both mind and body. I’m also deeply interested in hormone balance and enjoy continually expanding my knowledge of evidence-based nutrition and targeted supplementation to help people feel their best through every stage of life.
As a busy mom of two boys, I understand firsthand how challenging it can be to prioritize your health while balancing family, work, and everyday responsibilities. My lifestyle is active, and you’ll often find me enjoying the outdoors, staying active, and looking for new ways to challenge myself physically and mentally. I believe that learning never stops, and I’m committed to continually growing so I can better serve both myself and my clients.
My goal is to empower you with practical knowledge, personalized guidance, and lasting habits that help you feel energized, confident, and in control of your health. Together, we’ll create a realistic, sustainable path toward becoming the healthiest version of yourself.

You can choose which one would be of most benefit to you.

RDA for zinc:
~8 -15mg/day (women)

📍Upper safe limit:30-50 mg/day from supplements (unless directed by a doctor)

🚩Too much zinc can interfere with copper and iron absorption.

🚩Always keep zinc - iron- magnesium apart - usually 2 hours between each is enough.

🚩Also keep iron, magnesium, calcium, zinc 4 hours away from ANY thyroid medication 💊

📌 📌OPTIMAL PROTOCOL

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all “optimal protocol” for thyroid treatment, because it really depends on whether someone has a thyroid gland, how well they convert T4 to T3, other health issues, and how they respond to medication.

For many, starting with a good quality T4 replacement (like levothyroxine, or Tirosint) works well if their body can convert it properly.

For others, especially with ongoing fatigue, brain fog, or a genetic variation like DIO2 or DIO3, a combination of T4 and T3, or sometimes NDT (natural desiccated thyroid), may feel more balanced.

Alongside medication, optimising nutrients (iron, selenium, zinc, vitamin D, B12, magnesium), managing stress, supporting gut and liver health, and pacing lifestyle changes can make a big difference.

The “optimal protocol” is really the one that gives you both optimal labs and good quality of life — and it usually takes some trial, fine-tuning, and a doctor who listens to symptoms, not just numbers.
