We find it amazing what Cliff and farms like his are doing. Our little farm does not provide breeding stock, but we are SO thankful for the local and regional farms that do. Animal husbandry and raising livestock is a foundational pillar of the agricultural industry. THIS is American agriculture. 🇺🇸

Yesterday’s Memorial Day table was filled with food raised right here at Gibson Farm & Ranch — from breakfast bacon and eggs to pork chops on the grill — our pork has truly become part of our everyday life.

Memorial Day always feels a little different than the other holidays. It’s not just about cookouts, long weekends, or the start of summer. It’s about remembering the men and women who gave everything so the rest of us could live freely, raise our families, chase our dreams, and enjoy the simple blessings we often take for granted.

Today we pause to remember the sacrifice behind the freedom. We honor the brave souls who never made it home, and we hold close the families who carry that loss every day.

The rain couldn’t dampen the smiles at the market today! Our very first market at The Train Depot was such an incredible success, and we’re already looking forward to the rest of the season. Rain finally gave us a little break, and we’re set up at the market until 2 PM today! 🌥️

Everything is on the sidewalk under tents for easy shopping — no muddy walking, just a relaxed Sunday market setup with plenty of local vendors to visit.

Trying to ignore this week’s gloomy weather by thinking back to those gorgeous sunny days we had last week!

This view will never get old. Is this what you picture when you think of pig farming?

Pigs were made to root, graze, explore, and enjoy the sunshine — not spend their lives confined on concrete. Rotational grazing gives them fresh ground, access to grasses and forage, and a healthier, more natural environment to live in. It’s better for the pigs, better for the land, and honestly just better all around.

Watching them out here doing what pigs are supposed to do is one of the best parts of all of this.
