Shout out to the Squire family with another one of our market wethers and Susie! Their journey with dairy goats is starting off strong, their hard work will take them far ♥️

What a week the boys had:
Wyatt had the Reserve Grand Champion Market Turkey
For the Goats:
Rubble(Ryan's)Overall Grand Chapion Dairy Market Goat
Marshall(Wyatt's) 4th place over all market goat and 3rd place dairy market goat.
Rocky(Ryan's) 4th place dairy market goat
Ryan placed 7th in intermediate showmanship
Wyatt 4th in junior showmanship
Squires Farmyard Remi placed 3rd in Sr kid(Susie's baby from this year)
Roughsawn isolade's victory(Izzy) did not place in dry yearling
Neverfail Susie Q(Susie) placed 1st in 3-4 year old doe and received champion dairy doe.
We would like to thank RoughSawn Acres for allowing us to purchase the goats and starting us along the journey of our own breeding program.

Now I know what some of ya’ll are thinking “But Cassie, you said you posted all the breedings; you’re missing some of our favorites!”

Don’t panic! “Jilly”, “Raya”, “Amba”, “Nora” AND “Neville” all got to go to a beautiful family up North TOGETHER!

We had to make some incredibly difficult cuts this year but it makes it easier when they not only can stay together, but also know how much they are loved.

Last but certainly not least; RoughSawn Olive

Another 3rd generation FF, I couldn’t be more excited to see this young (April) yearling develop. Daughter of our Oakley, making her Coconutty’s maternal sis! As you can see by this photo, she is also a bit of a turd on the collar.

Her sire is * B Camelot Cattle Co Griffin, sired by *B Wingwood Farm FA Abraxan, son of Elite doe SGCH Wingwood Farm Lucky Altima 2*M Ex91 and SGCH +*B Wingwood Farm Finding Atlantis Ex91. His dam is 5*M Camelot Cattle Co Mystique maxing out the FF score at V89, daughter of multiple time Elite Top Ten Breed Leader SG 4*M Camelot Cattle Co Mischief Ex90.

Not only is this girl long, and naturally level like her dam, she has the best high and wide escutcheon of all my dry does. I think she’s going to be really special.

Olive has been paired with *B Azbill’s RF Fire from Heaven for some powerhouse milking genetics. Planned Pedigree in comments below

RoughSawn Water Sprite

Another Sunny daughter and Aurora’s mini me. This girl and her 2 sisters have gone through some wild growth phases. Because of that, I kept all 3 longer than any other littermates to try and decide which to retain. We ended up with Sprite. I still second guess if it was the right call, especially since I have to put my yearling blinders on with this one 😂 but! I do see the potential there.

Sprite has been paired with *B Azbill’s RF Fire from Heaven for a distant line breed on “Prairie Thunder”. Looking forward to see what they produce.

RoughSawn Edge of Seventeen, aka Dove

We have 2 Sunny daughters freshening this year and Dove is one of those girls. She’s also our only Stevie daughter. Other than her coloring; Dove is a copy and paste structurally. Fingers crossed her udder also comes in like her dams.

Azbill’s RF VS Charlotte

We are obsessed with this yearling’s overall appearance, built like a dang tank with a gorgeous wide and high escutcheon. Her and Gabe have done well in the show ring this year; snagging Reserve Champion Jr Grade. Can’t wait to see how she freshens!
