๐๐ Trainer Shoutout Thursday๐๐
๐ Everyone welcome Sam Russell ๐ Sam joined us this past month at our Asheville location and is already doing amazing work!
๐Check out her bio below to learn all about her and what she offers!
I caught my love for horses in kindergarten summer camp held at a small farm in Florida. Some western beginner lessons turned into hunter/jumper lessons, dressage lessons and eventually finding my passion in the world of eventing. I spent a few years as a working student for a 4* event rider on the West Coast which allowed me the opportunity to advance my own riding through the levels as well as gain knowledge and experience into the training and business sides of the industry.
My experience across multiple disciplines with multiple trainers has given an appreciation for well rounded horses and riders that I love to pass on to students. I believe in the philosophy that there is always more to learn and these horses will always have more to teach you.
I have a passion for students who share the idea of wanting to learn more and better themselves and their horses. I love guiding horses and riders towards how to be the best versions or themselves and how to work with each other to accomplish their goals.
I am very lucky to have a horse of my own, a thoroughbred named Harry, who made the long trip from California to NC with me. After many years of competing together I now have the pleasure of caring for him through his golden years of semi retirement.
In my time away from horses I spent some years serving in the US Navy where military benefits allowed me the opportunity to obtain a Bachelorโs degree in Environmental Science with a focus in wildlife management.
