Today is National Ag Day, and it’s a great reminder of just how much agriculture touches our daily lives.

In West Virginia, agriculture shows up in so many ways—from the food on our tables to the small businesses on our main streets, and the family farms that have been passed down for generations. It’s early mornings, long days, and a deep commitment to the land and to feeding others.

Today, and every day, we encourage you to support local, thank a farmer, and take a moment to appreciate the people and hard work that fuel our agriculture community! At the West Virginia Department of Agriculture, we strive to share their stories and help others better understand the impact of agriculture across our state.
