Book um’ Danno!

The HAWAII 5.0 (5.0% ABV) has been pouring realllll nice over the past couple months. We are calling it a hoppy l***r - lighter body, with loads of tropical hop flavor from the addition of Krush hops. Perfect for the dog days of the endless summer.

We are so lucky to have some all time great Kauai bartenders at the helm, including our own Danno. Come by, say hi, and crush one today!

Thank you all for a great Kauai Brewer's Fest!

Many showed up at the parking lot next to Hale Lihue to drink some b**r and collectively blow off some steam. It was an exciting moment for us, as it was the first time we served b**r at a brewfest! Huge mahalo to our volunteers Dan and Lia for holding down the pouring station and serving up some delicious tasters of RED OAKTOBER ALE (5.5% ABV) and LIL'KOI SOUR (4.3% ABV).

Missed the brewers fest? Both b**rs are currently on tap in our Kress Street taproom, as well as 12 others. Drop by this week and try them out!

HST Will Be Pouring at the KKCR fundraiser
Friday Night 10/9!

We will be serving EL OCHO (5.2% ABV) and HAZY DAZY IPA (6% ABV) during the event at KCC, which will be a tribute to the King of Pop. Drop by and say hi and enjoy some classic tunes performed by the best musicians on island! Taproom will be open for its regular hours 2:00-10:30 that evening.

Happy Oaktober!

In honor of the season, drop by this month and have a RED OAKTOBER ALE (5.5% ABV). This was inspired by homebrews we did with leftover oak spirals used for the legendary Kokobopo by Kauai B**r Company . Now with oak chips added, this red ale packs in some delightful autumnal notes - woody, earthy, and smoky.

While not quite like a traditional festbier, expect this one to show up annually around this time. Prost!

Mahalo to the entire Kaua'i community for supporting one another!

It's been a tiring, difficult and gut wrenching week for so many on the island. Thank you to everyone who has given a hand to support others during this time. The resilience and work ethic of the people of Kaua'i is truly like no other. That said, so many people and places are still without basic necessities following Hurricane Lowell. We were fortunate our HST family stayed safe during the storm. The brewery itself did not sustain any physical damage. We lost power for 3 days, but we were able to cool the b**r back down after regaining power Thursday night. We are grateful we were able to open the taproom back up to the public on Friday afternoon, and have been filling coolers with ice, giving people a place to charge their devices and use wifi, and generally blow off some steam. Our friends at Kickshaws were able to come through on Sunday and sling some truckin' good sandwiches.

This means we will continue taproom service this week. If you are coming into Lihu'e for necessary reasons or live nearby, we'd love to see you and talk story.

Forward this post to a loved one you want to sit down with at HST sometime!

We made it through an exciting summer, and want to keep carrying that momentum into the fall. One of the comments we hear the most when out and about is, "We heard it's great, but I haven't been in yet..."

Let's change that this month!

There's so many reasons to drop by HST besides our 14 b**rs made in house and cans to go!

North Shore - we know you have to come into Lihue for that thing.

West Side - are you sick of sitting in the afternoon traffic?

Not a b**r drinker? We've got seltzers, c***r, a selection of w**e, and a variety of mixed drinks.

DD or Non-Drinker? We make delicious NA fizzi teas, serve Aloha Ginger B**r, and now carry a variety of NA b**rs.

Hungry? We welcome in any outside food and park food trucks most nights. We've also got snacks and popcorn. On a budget? Bring your own dinner!

Got kids in tow? Sorry, that's the only thing we can't help with. 21+ only, per our liquor license. But, Murray would love to meet your doggo!

We feel so fortunate to get to open a bar in the greatest place on the planet.
It's our honor to give back to the people of Kaua'i by providing delicious b**r and a social spot for your pau hanas or a nightcap after an epic day.

🚫 Starting Sept 1st we'll be closed on Monday & Tuesday.

Busy Week Upcoming at the Kress Street Taproom!

Voggy Daze IPA (6.3% ABV) Now On Tap and In Cans!

A special Czech pilsner malt gives this b**r a unique bready and complex flavor. Stop in to enjoy a slow pour in one of these mugs on our taps which give that perfect frothy top. Play some Brisca while you’re enjoying your pivo (Czech for b**r)!
