Our Story

Set in the foothills of the Sierra mountains, is our little farm. Years ago, it was a commercial day lily farm. Beautifully landscaped, day lilies were grown and sent throughout the world. There were even tours given of the property.

With Southern roots in Louisiana and Texas, we named our little slice of heaven on earth, Fleur de Lis Farm. We had a yearning for a simpler life and the desire to raise our kids in a place where we could connect with the earth through farming, caring for animals, and growing our own food.

Our farm is home to a beautiful flock of chickens, ducks, and turkeys. We have a herd of Nigerian dwarf goats, a llama, and a miniature donkey. We also raise Kune Kune pigs. We have a large commercial grade greenhouse and a vegetable garden and a small orchard of a mixed variety of fruit and nut trees.

My endeavor and goal is to have a cut flower garden. For now, the abundant variety of blossoms and blooms growing here at the farm, such as the many rose bushes and other established plants, will do! I thoroughly enjoy making farm fresh flower bouquets.
