Busy Busy day at the sugarhouse bottled the last drum of syrup for our festivals and farmers markets in Florida. We also made 200 pounds of maple cream this week 😱it's a fan favorite 🍁

I know we have been absent from social media this summer but just wanted to let everyone know we are always working on things wether we are bottling syrup, making cream or making repairs in the woods.
We are tying up all our loose ends and preparing for our trip south to start markets in October. Schedule will be posted soon.

We are right at it, getting product bottled and starting to load up for our markets in Florida 🍁. It takes a lot of preparation to make sure we are well stocked and ready.

Same thing I was doing today 😂!

Spent a little time in the woods today pulling taps 🍁. Lisa found this nice place to sit and take a little rest. Pretty cool how the tree grew at a 90 degree angle
Other than the black flies it was a great day to be in the woods.

We Spent a few hours out pulling taps from the trees today. We never get tired of walking around our property😍! Love ❤️ this waterfall and pictures just don't do it justice, one of my favorite spots for sure.
Notice how high this sugaring line is above my head 😉 ‼️

Maple Monday! Maple Syrup Banana Bread

Ingredients:
Dry mix
1 1⁄2 cups flour
1⁄4 cup sugar
1⁄2 cup chopped nuts
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda

Moist mix
1 cup pureed banana
2 eggs
1⁄3 cup maple syrup
1⁄3 cup canola oil

Directions:
Heat the oven (350F).
Mix all dry ingredients.
In another bowl, mix all moist ingredients.
Blend the two mix until you don't see any more dry ingredients (don't overblend it or the bread will come hard!).
Put into a greased bread pan, and then into the oven for 50-60 minutes.
Let cool 15 minutes before removing the bread from its mold. Enjoy!

We have enjoyed a little time for rest and relaxation here in Florida but hitting the road and heading back to the farm tomorrow 🍁
Lots to do to clean up and put the woods to bed for the summer. We will be getting ready for our first Harvest Hosts campers at the end of the month.

LAST day to catch us at New Smyrna Farmers Market and tomorrow we will be Halifax River Market at Tiki Docks and Mount Dora Mount Dora Blueberry Festival‼️
Then we'll be headed back to Vermont 🍁
