Sara Parthasarathy and Partha Sabniviss are co-founders of Flavor Temptations, a Madison, Wisconsin–based, woman- and minority-owned food company dedicated to sharing the richness of Indian culture through authentic cuisine. Born and raised in India, Sara grew up surrounded by the aromas and techniques of traditional home cooking, learning recipes and flavor-building methods passed down through generations.
Before becoming entrepreneurs, Sara and Partha built successful careers in information technology and moved to the United States in the 1990s. They held leadership roles in corporate America before choosing to pursue their passion for food and culture full time.
The idea for Flavor Temptations was born from a deeply personal moment when their son left for college and struggled to recreate the Indian dishes he loved. Realizing that the challenge wasn’t just ingredients but understanding spice proportions and cooking sequence, Sara developed pre-measured spice kits paired with step-by-step recipes to simplify authentic Indian cooking. What began as a solution for their son soon evolved into a business that helps home cooks and foodservice professionals confidently prepare Indian meals from scratch.
Over the years, Flavor Temptations has grown into a nationally recognized brand serving both consumers and institutions, including K-12 schools, while promoting culturally inclusive menus. Sara and Partha are passionate about clean ingredients, customizable flavor profiles, and empowering people to experience the joy of Indian cooking.
Beyond business, they are deeply committed to community impact. Through Flavor Temptations, Sara and Partha have helped provide tens of thousands of meals to food charities and continue to advocate for cultural awareness through food. Their work reflects a belief that food is more than nourishment; it is a powerful way to connect people, preserve heritage, and build community.
