Productivity... here I come.

Well... more like productivity, here I crawl. 🫠

Yes, I'm crawling... and I'm about one inconvenience away from a full-blown 2-year-old temper tantrum who desperately needs juice, snacks, and a nap. 😅

But the schedule demands I at least show up.

This weekend we're clearing land and making room for all our dreams.

And Richard is fully aware he may have to carry both the equipment... and both of our motivations. 🤣

Mama is tired. 😫

Ever had one of those conversations where, by the time you hung up, you had repeated your name and phone number so many times you honestly couldn't remember either one?

I just had one of those.

By the end of the call, I was half convinced I'd been given a new identity and forgotten my own phone number. 🤣

Quite frankly, it was one of the most painfully confusing conversations I've ever had.

Announcement Time! 🐓

Once this last round of birds finds new coops, Shaded Shells will be taking a much-needed break from public sales.

First, to the customers who have been amazing this year...

Thank you. ❤️

You showed up when you said you would, communicated, respected our time, and made doing business enjoyable. We appreciate you more than you know.

Now... to the rest of y'all... 👀

This year has been one for the record books. We've dealt with more ghosting, last-minute cancellations, excuses, and "the rules don't apply to me" than we ever imagined.

Let's just say... some of y'all gave us enough material to write a book. 🤦‍♀️

So we're stepping back from public sales for a bit.

Not because we're quitting.

Because we're building.

Our attention is turning toward securing grants, expanding the farm, improving our breeding program, and laying the foundation for our parent company, Shaded Creek Farms.

We're incredibly excited for what's coming next, and we can't wait to share that journey with all of you.

We'll see y'all next year...

Dear Chaos,

We've had enough.

Respectfully... go bother someone else for a week.

We've checked all the boxes:
✔️ Equipment drama.
✔️ Bird drama.
✔️ Family drama.
✔️ Financial drama.
✔️ "What fresh hell is this?" drama.

At this point, if you could just let us collect eggs, feed chickens, drink our coffee while it's still hot, and make it through one week without adding another chapter to the autobiography, we'd be grateful.

We're not asking for perfect.

Just... boring.
