Well, the weather is looking a bit soggy tomorrow but we’re heading to the market either way! Thankfully, the market is under cover so if you feel like braving the weather stop by and say hey!

Now for the real reason you are reading this post 😆. What are we bringing tomorrow!
🍞 Sourdough: artisan, super soft sandwich, petite artisan, baguettes, cheddar jalapeño, and everything cheddar.

🍪 Chocolate chip cookies, mapledoodles, and elderberry syrup kits!

☕️ Coffee: light, medium, dark, and salted caramel pumpkin!

A lil snapshot of our trip to Orange Beach 🌊

We had an absolutely lovely time getting to rest and explore places we’d never been before.

- We climbed the 177 steps of the Pensacola Lighthouse and learned about the keepers who climbed those steps up to 5 times a night to keep ships from crashing.

- We learned about so many aircraft at the National Naval Aviation Museum, including how some WWII aircraft that were too damaged for combat were used as training planes for pilots learning to land on ships. Many crashed into the water, were later recovered and restored, and are now on display in the museum.

- We explored Fort Morgan, where the famous “Damn the torpedoes!” was spoken—which we had just learned about in our Civil War history unit!

- We searched for seashells, threw stranded jellyfish back into the water, jumped ocean waves, and a few of us were entirely creeped out by the weird white crabs running all over the sand. 😂

- We relaxed in the lazy river, dove headfirst down the waterslide, and lazed about in the hot tub.

We had so much fun, but now we’re back and missing all our friends. And while it was wonderful, like Dorothy famously said, “There’s no place like home.” 🤎

We traded our market table for a little sand and sunshine this weekend! 🌊

While we won’t be at the market tomorrow, we will be back next weekend with a tan and some bread and coffee.

We are soaking in this last bit of summer, enjoying time together, and feeling especially grateful for all of you who have supported us and helped make this possible. 🤎

Uh yum!! It’s customer appreciation weekend and the market is having biscuits and gravy as a thank you to all of YOU! Come grab your bread and coffee and stay for breakfast this Saturday!!

Biscuit and gravy won't be flowing from the downtown water tower, but Farmers Market visitors will be treated to a free breakfast this Saturday.

Free biscuit, gravy, and sausage patty will be served at our beloved Farmers Market as part of Customer Appreciation Day. Workers will start preparing the food early Saturday morning and it will be ready around 9 am.

“We want to thank our customers for a great year here at the market,” said manager Ginger Wanamaker. “It’s not over yet. We have events lined up every Saturday in October.”

The Farmers Market is a wonderful place to buy Tennessee-grown products from members of our community. There’s still a wide selection of fresh vegetables, baked goods, plants, and more available this time of year.
