U.S. CATTLE REPORT 🏆 Epic Run in April Live Cattle Continues, Up $19.28 Since 3/19

April live cattle futures pushed to a new contract high on Tuesday, trading up to $253.60 during the session before settling at $252.55, up $1.90 on the day. This continues an extended run in the April contract, which has now posted gains in 12 of the last 13 sessions and 15 of the last 17. Since March 19th, when the contract closed at $233.275, April live cattle have rallied $19.28 into Tuesday’s close.

I get asked all the time- “when will this market take a dip & stay there” my answer is, until we see a change of supply & demand, we will continue to rebound slowly over time after any shake ups. The demand isn’t going to kill this thing, so that leaves supply. This will put a damper on the 240-250’s cash we have grown accustomed to once we start getting cattle over the border.
