When I’m home I’m Mempjis, Coastal Fish has become one of those spots for me. Good food, strong cocktails, water views, and an atmosphere that lets you slow down for a minute without trying too hard.

Sunday dinner at Meehan’s in Mansfield. Fried shrimp, lobster tail over asparagus, lamb chops with chimichurri, and a properly chilled dirty martini to start the night.

Some places try too hard to feel upscale. Others just understand hospitality, timing, and comfort. Meehan’s leans into the latter.

Cinco de Mayo in downtown Fort Worth at Waloons.

Started with the red fish beignets and seafood mac & cheese, then moved into the steak frites with a glass of red. Everything was seasoned well, balanced, and came out with intention.

The oyster bar and open kitchen setup gave the whole place a classic upscale feel without trying too hard.

Definitely a spot worth circling back to.

Got a chance to step into something different today.

Not just art… expression.
Stories layered in color, texture, and perspective you don’t always see in traditional spaces.

You walk through a room like this and realize real quick…
culture isn’t something you talk about, it’s something you experience.

Dallas showed up today.

The Vault in Mansfield surprised me.

Started with the chicken potstickers, good texture, sauces were on point. Wagyu meatballs followed and held their own, tender and full of flavor.

But the lobster crab cakes were the highlight. Light, clean, and actually seafood forward, which you don’t always get.

Definitely a solid option in Mansfield.
