Here’s something most people experience but few truly understand.

You lose weight. You feel great. Then slowly — sometimes quickly — it comes back.

Last week we talked about what GLP-1 does — how one hormone coordinates the pancreas, brain, liver, and gut, and how that gives us a window into almost every aspect of metabolic health.

This week we go one level deeper.

Your body was already making GLP-1. These medications don’t introduce something new — they restore a signal that was supposed to be there, but is no longer consistently maintained.

Which raises the question: what is suppressing that signal, and can it be changed?

The answer is yes.
