We almost didn’t release this wine.
And one year later, this moment feels like yesterday. 🍷
I remember Xavi holding the very first bottle of our first ever limited edition - Obra No. 1 Gran Reserva. With only 2,542 bottles produced and individually numbered, we controlled every single bottle to ensure perfection - the standard of what we envisioned for Obra No. 1.
We remember the doubt. The long silences between sips. Before we found that one blend, we tried everything. Different varietals, shifting 5% here, adding 10% there… searching for that perfect harmony of taste. When we finally hit the 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, we both stopped. We looked at each other and knew: That was it.
And here it is - rich, full-bodied, and velvety. The Merlot brings plush plum and cocoa with a silky mouthfeel. The Cabernet adds structure, spice, and a touch of boldness. Together, they create layered elegance with silky tannins that glide across the palate.
We knew we did something special, but we didn’t know just how much you would love it. We received so much incredible feedback: from wine lovers, from collectors, from people who said it was just great wine.
