When I ask for cake inspo, Iām trying to read your mind. Give me something to work with. š
The photos tell me what youāre drawn to, what style you like, andāvery importantlyāwhat you consider āsimple.ā
Because some of you say ānothing crazyā and send a three-tier cake with handmade sugar flowers. Maāam. Those flowers donāt grow on the cake.
But inspiration doesnāt mean an exact copy. Even when you send me one of MY cakes. Every person and celebration is different. Your cake should be, too.
And honestly? Iām not even the same decorator I was two cakes ago. I learn something with every cake, and you better believe Iām bringing that into the next one.
Canāt explain what you want? Send the pictures. Weāll figure it out together. My questions have a purposeāI want to understand your vision before I pick up a spatula.
Iāll also tell you what works, what doesnāt, and what needs a reality check. Respectfully, but very clearly. You know me. š
I treat every cake like itās for my own celebration. **If I canāt defend it with my whole chest, itās not leaving my studio.**
