Will you still have u-pick, even though we're going to have 3 nights of frost? Will the apples still be good?

🍎 ANSWER:

Apples are not necessarily harmed by cold weather. They can tolerate light frosts with no apparent injury. However, severe frosts (25 ̊F or lower) will damage the fruit.

We will be u-picking apples until they are all gone. 😊

➡️U-Pick apples this week (Oct 14-18)-

NEW variety available:
None at this time. We're still watching a few varieties for optimal ripeness.

Still picking until gone:
🍎RED DELICIOUS (mild, sweet flavor)
🍏JONAGOLD (sweet-tart flavor; excellent for eating & baking)
🍎IDA RED (bold, sweet-tart flavor; crisp & juicy)

🎃AND...U-PICK PUMPKINS ($0.80 per pound)!

➡️Please Note!!
Not all of our apple varieties are u-pick! Minimum for u-pick apples is $30 for a ½ bushel bag, with no other fees charged. Apple picking is a very affordable family outing! (Bringing a wagon or stroller is suggested. You may also want to bring your own mosquito spray.)

➡️Please do not climb the trees, as they are old and delicate. We are unable to kill all the poison ivy in the orchard so please watch where you are walking around the trees.

➡️When you come visit the farm for u-pick, the latest picking start time is 5 pm. We are a working farm, and need to get tractors, lawn mowers, and other big equipment onto the property for orchard maintenance after we close at 6 pm. Our customers' safety is a top priority, so we appreciate your understanding.

💰We will never charge an admission fee, or make you pay for parking. You just pay for what you purchase.

🍎We freshly press our own c***r weekly! Our apple c***r is unpasteurized, with no additives & preservatives, and some of the best tasting around! We also sell cups of hot mulled c***r, and c***r slushies!

🍩Donuts are made fresh each day! Varieties include: plain, apple, pumpkin & blueberry, with multiple frostings to choose from. On Fridays we have very special cherry donuts.

⭐️NOW TAKING DONUT SPECIAL ORDERS for Wednesday & Thursday, October 14th & 15th!

During the peak season (Sept & Oct), we do not take special orders for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. There is just too much of a demand from people waiting in the donut line.

Special orders for Wednesday & Thursday, must be received by 4 pm the day before, via Facebook messenger ONLY. Please don't comment your order, or call the farm when we are closed.

SPECIAL ORDER REQUIREMENTS:
✅Pick-up from 9:15 am to 5:45 pm.
✅1 DOZEN DONUTS MINIMUM.
✅Must order 3+ of each kind of donut.
Ex) 6 plain cinnamon, 3 apple cinnamon, 3 blueberry w/maple frosting, OR 4 pumpkin w/ pumpkin frosting, 4 blueberry w/ vanilla frosting, 4 apple w/ maple frosting, OR 1 doz pumpkin w/pumpkin frosting, etc.

➡️This season, we have changed our check-out process so that there is less congestion directly in front of the main doors. Please proceed through the building, to the check-out by the bay doors. We have also added additional registers to cut down on your wait time.

➡️You'll be required to complete a waiver & release form for your group, if you're picking fruit in our orchard. You will need to check-in at the register for this purpose. Just follow the signs. Minimum for u-pick apples is $30 for a ½ bushel bag (pre-paid), with no other fees charged.

➡️When you come visit the farm for u-pick, the latest picking start time is 5 pm. We are a working farm, and need to get tractors, lawn mowers, and other big equipment onto the property for orchard maintenance after we close at 6 pm. Our customers' safety is a top priority, so we appreciate your understanding.

➡️On Saturdays & Sundays, you must be in the donut line by 5:00 pm to get donuts. However, please note that if the line is wrapped around the building, we cannot guarantee that there will be donuts left when you get to the order window.

➡️Our unpasteurized c***r is made in-house, and is not sourced from another company, like many other farms & orchards. As more varieties of apples ripen, you may notice the taste & color will change throughout the season. It sells out quickly, so it's FCFS.
