FIRST ALERT: A major winter storm will hit Mississippi this weekend.

As of now, the Pine Belt is in better shape than other parts of Mississippi. Areas north of I-20 will likely see a major Ice Storm, have travel issues, and power outages.

In the Pine Belt, we will deal with a cold rain for most of Saturday and into Sunday, but there could be a Freezing Rain mix on Sunday for some of our NW counties. Ice amounts would be very low, but that could change depending on how far south the cold air goes.

BOTTOM LINE: There remains a TON of uncertainties in the forecast, and things will continue to change.

We will wait and draft the correct amount out on the 20th to give time for the reversal to credit your account.
