There's something magical about seeing a six-horse hitch roll down the streets of Baraboo, a reminder of the days when circus wagons, performers, and dreams traveled from town to town bringing wonder wherever they went.

Join us for Baraboo's Big Top Parade on Saturday, June 13 at 11:00 a.m., as our community comes together to celebrate the rich heritage, pageantry, and spirit of the American circus. This year's parade proudly honors our local veterans as Grand Marshals, recognizing their service, sacrifice, and commitment to our great nation on its 250th Anniversary.

From magnificent horses and historic circus wagons to marching bands, community groups, and plenty of surprises along the route, there's something for every generation to enjoy.

Bring a lawn chair, gather your family and friends, and experience one of Baraboo's most cherished traditions. After the parade, continue the celebration with a visit to Circus World for a day filled with history, heart, and high-flying fun.

We can't wait to welcome you curbside for a spectacular celebration of community, tradition, and the magic of the circus!

There will be an increase in flight activity over central Wisconsin June 1st - 12th due to the 2026 Sentry North exercise at Volk Field ANGB. F-35s, F-16s, and other military aircraft are scheduled to train between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. each day.

Aircraft flying above 30,000 ft. are authorized by the FAA to operate at supersonic speeds within the Volk Military Operating Area, which may be audible at ground level.

The 2026 Buffalo Lake Harvesting Crew officially kicked off the season this week with equipment training, and Chairman Dustin Esselman treated the crew to lunch to get things started!

The team is getting prepared and will officially begin harvesting on June 1st, in accordance with our DNR permit.

These crews put in long days out on the water helping maintain and improve conditions on Buffalo Lake, and we truly appreciate all of the work they do throughout the season.
