If you lack humbleness in life do yourself a favor and get goats..

This week has been hot, humid, yucky and just plan hard.

It’s been one of those weeks where you realize you forgot to shut the gate only to turn around and see the entire herd flooding the barn and feed barrels.

One of those weeks where we take a deep breath before entering the barn praying for no surprises (that’s actually all the time)

One of those weeks where cuss words sound more like a run on sentence.

We are surviving , resilient as ever , tough as nails and trying to remember faces like these are exactly why we pour our blood sweat and tears into these guys! Emphasis on the sweat. For real can we turn the humidity down a notch?

We are officially sold out of babies at this time! Another record year ALL thanks to you guys! I appreciate your trust in our hearts and business!

We have gained so many new SMILING GOAT RANCH family members and I’m excited to kick off preparation for our next season!

We have a select few does ranging from 10 weeks-2yrs old we are considering offering if there is interest!

✨Upgrades & Changes! ✨

For YEARS I stuck to what I know. How I was taught. Routine over anything else. Old school vs new.

That’s how I was raised and my focus was always on the health of the mothers and babies.

This year though we decided to make a couple big investments to make the chores a little easier , ESPECIALLY on my back.

Last night we trimmed hooves and milked a few does the easy way!

A new goat stand and a new milk machine have officially been added to the arsenal. I honestly feel like I’m working in high gear now and could handle 10 more does in the herd! 😉

Last nights barn help was on point! Although one of my helpers nearly fell asleep on the job and the other complained that I worked everyone like my dad does 😂

It’s funny how hard it can be to step away from the way you use to do things , but sometimes a few changes can make a world of a difference while still keeping the goats health and care our top priority!

Here’s to working smarter not harder!

These guys were absolute hams for the camera last night all tucked in the barn staying out of the rain!

Thank you to those of you that have braved the non stop rain with us! These damp conditions are no joke! Keeping the herd and babies healthy has been our main priority!

The work does not stop just because the babies are leaving us! Milking our does out is just phase three for us before we start getting them back in shape!

We got ourselves a milk machine bc my back was screaming at me to stop hand milking 😂 next stop a milk stand bc we all had way too much fun doing this!

This weekend was a busy one! We had 13 babies leave the barn and four more of our littles were claimed!

We’re heading into this short work week feeling so grateful to have so many new wonderful families to work with as well as seeing so many smiling faces leaving the barn! ❤️🐐
