As far back as 1910 there have always been numerous pickle stores on Essex Street, but today we are the only pickle store that exists on the corner of Grand Street and Essex Street. We are Kosher and carry over 40 different varieties of pickles and pickled products. We have traditional pickled items, such as Sour Pickles, 1/2 Sour Pickles, Pickled Green Tomatoes, Sweet Peppers, Sauerkraut, and Pic

kled Watermelon. For those more adventurous, we offer on our menu new products created in our own pickle lab including Pickled Okra, String Beans, Asparagus, Brussels Sprouts, Pickled Mangoes Pineapples, Honeydews and Cantaloupes. Let’s not forget the variety of Olives and Pickled Herrings we carry. The Pickle Guys make pickles from an old Eastern European recipe “just the way grandma use to make them” by letting cucumbers sit in salt brine with fresh garlic, a special blend of pickling spices. Most importantly, no preservatives. Storing them in barrels, from a day up to three months, the pickles cure as they sit. The Pickle Guys operates under the strict Rabbinical Supervision of Rabbi Shmuel Fishelis. Two weeks before Passover we bring our operation outside and grind horseradish from freshly peeled roots. We grind over 6,000 pounds of Horseradish every Passover and it is guaranteed to be the hottest and strongest horseradish you will ever try!
