QUINTA DA LIXA VINHO VERDE TERRAS DO MINHO BRANCO
The Meireles family started selling wine by the barrel in Vila da Lixa in 1986. Today they farm 105 hectares across six estates in the hilly Sousa sub-region, where granite bedrock keeps soils acidic and free-draining. That granite, plus roughly 1,200mm of Atlantic rain a year, is why Vinho Verde tastes the way it does: low alcohol, high acid, wet-stone bite.
