I’ve inherited a family members coin collection. What do I have here?
A recent family members death has put into my possession their very large coin collection. I don’t know anything about rare or valuable coins and I would love to know if this collection seems like a serious one or more of the casual hobby level collection. There are some papers where somebody wrote down what was in the collection I don’t know if any information is accurate. Any thoughts?

I work at a gas station on weekends. Alot of customers are locals. One guy had asked if I wanted to make some extra cash and help him out cleaning up and demoing some stuff . He had had a fire that took a barn with a living space and storage , at s tools etc... started when a family member was out ATVing and when done parked it and it just so happen to be near the house hay. Long story short, the heat from the metal on bottom of 4 wheeler had set the hay and hay bails ablaze... Needless to say , it turned into a inferno. And D-stroyed er'thing... This had happened 3 or 4 days prior to the "ask". I obliged.

Next day came and I went and started helping clean up and removing and tearing down what was left standing. Nothing was salvageable...

But amiss the scorched earth patch of land I skillfully treked through I had made my way to the spot I'm imagining was a storage of sorts where boxes and old "usables" and memorabilia went to age and be forgotten or gain value. Apon the wreckage I found a tin....and having a curiose and curiouser spirit ever since I was a boy , I could only imagine what May be in it... It was heavy, I thought it was jewelry or maybe rocks(like cool rocks) regardless I knew I was taking the contents if deemed valuable .

I had asked the guy prior if he wanted me to save or look for anything and he said NO... "You'd da boss"

I open the tin.... This is what I found.

Oh the humanity !
