π©βπ³ Instructions
1οΈβ£ Prepare the Apples π
Preheat your oven to 350Β°F and line a 6-cup muffin tin with paper liners. Mix the lemon juice with the water, then add the thinly sliced apples to prevent browning.
2οΈβ£ Soften the Apple Slices π₯£
Microwave the apple slices in the lemon water for about 2β3 minutes, until flexible enough to bend without breaking. Drain and pat dry gently.
3οΈβ£ Make the Cinnamon Filling π€
In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Melt the butter and stir it into the apricot jam until smooth.
4οΈβ£ Prepare the Puff Pastry π₯
Unroll the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 6 long strips. Brush each strip lightly with the apricot mixture and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
5οΈβ£ Arrange the Apple Petals πΉ
Place the apple slices along the upper edge of each pastry strip, overlapping them slightly and letting the curved edges extend above the pastry.
6οΈβ£ Roll Into Roses πΉβ¨
Fold the bottom half of each pastry strip over the apple slices, then carefully roll each strip from one end to the other to form a rose. Place each rose upright in a muffin cup.
7οΈβ£ Bake Until Golden π₯
Bake for 35β40 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and golden and the apple edges are lightly caramelized. If the tops brown too quickly, cover loosely with foil.
8οΈβ£ Cool & Serve π
Let the apple roses cool for about 10 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar and serve warm. They're delicious on their own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
