Yacht Events Featured in South Asian Bride Magazine, Inc : Pryanka and Pawel met in a bachata class in Manhattan, where partners rotated constantly but they quickly became each other’s favorite to dance with. Their connection and chemistry through movement were so natural that it carried easily into conversation.
At the time, Pryanka lived in Manhattan and Pawel in Hoboken, NJ, and their relationship unfolded between the two. The waterfront marked their most meaningful moments where Pawel asked Pryanka to be his girlfriend, and later, his wife.
Their wedding was shaped as much by place as by culture. They began in Manhattan, where they met, with a civil ceremony at Loft 620 honoring Pawel’s Polish heritage in an intimate setting. Their sangeet took place aboard the Horizon’s Edge yacht along the waterfront, overlooking the Manhattan skyline at sunset. Pryanka wore Seema Gujral for the evening, where their dance community and family put on performances, bringing both sides of their world together.
In New Jersey, they celebrated their Hindu wedding at The Crystal Plaza with 250 guests. The ceremony incorporated Polish traditions, including lively wedding games and the brama (Polish gate holding of the newlyweds), along with Polish and Indian food. True to how they met, they chose bachata for their first dance as husband and wife.
