It’s worth the hype 😭

I’ve seen people rave about the pancakes and chicken katsu at forever and honestly… I never fully understood it because it lowkey looked kinda basic to me.

BUT I GET IT NOW.

Finally made my way to for an early weekday dinner and this is definitely the move if you don’t want to deal with the insane brunch lines.

We ordered:
-Honey Butter Pancake 
-Chicken Katsu Club
-Side of Kimchi
-Thai Tea Tres Leches
-Pistachio Cardamom Rice Pudding

The menu has a fun Asian influence throughout and everything was so good. My only regret was not getting the double stack pancake 🥞😭 The single honestly isn’t as huge as people make it look or sound imo lol… but the upside was we had room for dessert.

The pancake and katsu club completely lived up to the hype though. Would absolutely go back for both and honestly just work through the rest of the menu.

Also they have outdoor seating too and a small number of reservations if you’re able to snag them.

Had such a great dinner at Thai Rice: A Journey Beyond Borders hosted by at , where a talented lineup of chefs and mixologist created a one-night-only menu centered around the versatility of Thai Rice and with cocktail pairings inspired by every course

Menu Highlights included:
-Black Sticky Rice with Vietnamese beef tartare, fermented anchovy + shrimp paste paired with a Melon Highball
-Steamed & Crispy Fried Brown Rice with fava beans, spring wild mushrooms, herbs, and fermented sea rose paired with an Upside-Down Martini
-Poached Fjord Trout with saffron dashi, charred chestnut mushroom conserva, and riceberry rice amazake paired with a Mango Sticky Rice cocktail 🥭

And my favorite finale....dessert - pandan-infused rice pudding crème brûlée with sesame brittle + berry compote✨she was a stunner and a dreaam

Such a creative dinner and honestly one of the more unique cocktail pairing experiences I’ve had in a while. Loved seeing how many different ways Thai rice was incorporated throughout both the food and drinks😋

opened last month by Chef .chase inside the in Tribeca, with a bold globally inspired menu built around the architecture of flavor.

The dishes are organized by Heat, Acid, Salt, Depth, and Fat — highlighting coastal seafood, fire-driven proteins, layered sauces, and rich umami flavors throughout.

They offer an intimate 6-course chef’s counter tasting menu, but we opted for à la carte and ordered something from almost every section:

Heat — Razor Clam
Acid — Mahi Mahi Ceviche
Salt — Chopped Cheese
Depth — Branzino
Fat — Chicken Yakitori

Such a great meal overall. The ceviche, wagyu chopped cheese and chicken yakitori were probably my favorite bites, but honestly I’d order everything again. Definitely trying the tasting menu next time 🔥

Amazing omakase 🍣 is a Japanese omakase/ sushi restaurant in East Rutherford, NJ. You can order à la carte and/or go for one of their omakase experiences. They have 3 options under this category and we went with “The Signature” which comes with 2 apps, 10 sushi/nigiri pieces and 2 handrolls. Priced at $79 pp. We also ordered the salmon belly crudo as an extra appetizer. So good.

Fish is so fresh, quality and flown from Japan daily. Their nigiri pieces were also pretty unique. I ordered an extra round of the Tuna Shoyu with Chili Crunch.

For dessert they have gelato and I have no clue which ones we got lol but it was a nice finish 😋

It’s a small space so reservations are required. They’re also BYOB.

PS: they also just opened a handroll bar 🙌🏻

has some really special Indian inspired ice cream flavors and even have saffron pistachio flavor iykyk 🥹🫶🏻 They’re doing a collaboration this weekend with to celebrate their Hair & Body Fragrance Mists with a Sensory Trio Scoop of ice cream flavors inspired by each scent & topped with an edible flower blend! Trio scoop is pictured here: JAIPUR ROSE: Rose with Cinnamon Roasted Almonds ice cream, KERALA COCONUT: Sea Salt Vanilla ice cream and MADURAI JASMINE: Saffron Pistachio ice cream. The Madurai Jasmine was my favorite scent and might be a little bias but my favorite flavor too. Their flavors overall are soo good and these three flavors go so well together 😋

PSA- just learned is opening in the West Village in a couple weeks too🥳
