When we started this project over three years ago, we made a promise to ourselves not to take any shortcuts.
The goal remains to build a world-class brand that reflected our values: hard work, patience, and doing things the right way.
After all, the tequila market is extremely crowded, so taking the easy route of simply slapping a name on a bottle was never an option.
Immersing ourselves in the industry, we learned every aspect of production and absorbed as much feedback as possible to shape the final product you see today.
After visiting countless distilleries in Mexico, we selected a production partner that aligned with our standards (NOM 1472). From there, we developed several profiles and conducted blind tastings to collect as much data as possible, which ultimately shaped our debut expression, an 18-month aged Añejo.
A main directive was creating a bottle that looked as good as the liquid inside tasted. We explored more than 1,200 bottle design concepts, which led to the final form developed in collaboration with master sculptor Ivan Venkov.
It was important for us to have a direct relationship with every part of our supply chain, from the farmers who harvest our 100% Blue Weber agave in the Los Altos region of Jalisco to the artisans who handcraft our decanters in a factory in Hidalgo, Mexico, that has been operating for more than 100 years.
The end result is the culmination of years of hard work across teams on multiple continents, and we couldn’t be more excited to finally share it with you.
The world doesn’t need another tequila brand, but it can always use thoughtfully designed products built with intention, especially in a category where everything starts to look the same.
We are grateful for the community we are cultivating and hope you can appreciate the effort that went into creating the best product possible.
Follow along and enjoy some behind-the-scenes moments from our journey and a glimpse into the work that usually goes unseen.
