Meet Lindsay Matteson, bartender and the creative mind behind this month's amaro lineup. Known for her thoughtful approach to Italian spirits, Lindsay built this box around amaro as a full base spirit, not just an aperitif or digestif. Three cocktails, one spirit, and a whole Italian summer to explore.
Lindsay has spent over a decade at the forefront of amaro culture in the US, from New York's iconic Amor y Amargo, where she became head bartender and ran two national pop-up programs, to Seattle's internationally recognized amaro bar Barnacle. She's trained hundreds of bartenders nationally, consulted across the industry, and built a career around making bitter, complex spirits feel approachable and exciting.
That's Amaro takes the bar cart somewhere warm, golden, and a little exotic, with rosehip, lemongrass, grapefruit, and Amaro Meletti running through every pour.
