The grind is paying off.

Just a few weeks after transplant, the pepper plants have already doubled in size and are absolutely thriving. Every day we’re seeing more growth, more blooms, and the first signs of what should be an incredible harvest season.

The garden is showing off too. Our giant sunflower is towering over the kids, and the tomato plants have already pushed past 5 feet tall. What started as tiny seedlings in trays is turning into a jungle.

From the driveway garden that started Albino Cricket to over 30 varieties growing across the property, it’s awesome to see what hard work, good soil, and a little Ohio sunshine can do.

We’re grinding every day and the season is just getting started.

We’ve been quiet on here lately, but it hasn’t been a slow season.

The last few weeks have been all hands in the dirt. We amended and mended soil for 55 pepper plants, got our raised beds dialed in, and got tomatoes, cucurbits, and flowers in the ground. Aji Habanero, Jalapenos, and a whole lineup of varieties are now staked and settling in. The cilantro and basil are happy. The cucumbers are already reaching for something to grab.

The hard part is done. Now we feed them and watch what happens.

More updates coming as things start to pop. It’s going to be a good summer.

Albino Cricket is throwing down a challenge.

$1,000 says no one in Ohio can out-grow our Carolina Reaper by end of season.

Rules are simple. Your plant has to be in the ground before June 1. No greenhouse growing. No clones. Started from seed, grown outdoors, dirt only.

We measure by total yield weight at harvest. You bring your scale, we’ll bring ours.

This plant went in the ground last night. The clock is already running.

Think you can beat it? Drop a comment, tag your location, and let’s see what Ohio growers are made of.
