Wow it was sticky out today. 🥵
I’m not a huge fan of the heat so I have to be careful to not do too much and end up with heat exhaustion.

Bubba doesn’t have that issue. And he seems to be enjoying his first few moments in a pen to himself.

And just like that, there are no more babies in the barn. The last batch went to their new home this afternoon.

We are planning on some fall litters so before too long there should be some more lil noses. 🐽
In the meantime, hay season has begun, the garden is going in, and I really need to get out to the kiwis.

For all our new followers, stick around to see what summer looks like and for our long-term crew, it’s going to be a fun one. Maybe even a roadtrip.

It was 40 degrees when I got up this morning. That’s not appropriate for May 31st. Though the weather forecast is calling for a warm up this next week.

Otherwise, the babies are weaned and headed to their new home next week, Dad got some first cut hay done, and a second IBC watering tote got created for the back pen. This crew are very bad at sharing - hence the 3 separate dishes for grain (the 4th is on the other side) so watering them was miserable.

So here’s hoping my garden survives and that the weather gets nicer!

Good thing I own a tiny truck! (Even if it’s far more fun to be the passenger than the driver.)
