Friend's Ranches Citrus farmers in the Ojai Valley for well over 100 years. We focus on growing many, many varieties

We are a small family-owned farm that grows super yummy citrus. We have been in Ojai since 1887 so we love our valley and the land we grow on. We got to several farmers' markets in southern California, sell locally, ship seasonally and enjoy what we do. We grow:
over 16 varieties of tangerines
Navel, Valencia and Blood oranges (4 varieties of Blood oranges in fact!)
Three kinds of Avocados (Bacon, Fuerte and Hass)
Grapefruit, Meyer lemons, Eureka lemons
a bunch of other odd-ball citrus just for fun! We sell them at:
local farmers' markets (Ojai, Hollywood, Santa Monica and Santa Barbara)

Irrigation. Different sprinklers for different sized trees. Sprinklers get stuck (spider webs, ants, snails and earwigs— arg!). Orchard dogs enjoy irrigation days, but today was a tongue-hanger for sure, over 100degrees.

In the summer and fall it’s all about water and fixing things. Thank goodness for PVC, tractors, pipe glue and the people that know how to fix things. We’ve been around long enough to remember when only one of the above list of things existed. Still here after all these years.
